43-year-old driver, George Antwi has been arraigned before the Twifo Praso District Court for allegedly licking and tickling the vagina of a 12-year-old girl at Twifo Eduabeng in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District in the Central Region.

According to Chief Inspector Joseph Kusah, prosecutor for the case said that the accused who is also a Herbal Doctor around 8am on January 3, 2024, invited the victim into his house for medication following a skin disease the girl has been battling, thereby luring the victim into his bedroom and stripped her naked after convincing her of smearing medicine on her body.

The accused thereafter switched off the room's light and drew down the curtains as well, opened loud his radio, and began to sexually assault the ignorant girl by tickling and licking her vagina.

Information gathered indicates that the accused after realizing the two younger sisters of the victim had sneaked into the room and witnessed his frowned upon act at his blindsight, in his quest to cover the case, tried to instill fear in the children, hence threatened to kill them and their parents should they inform anyone in the community.

Charles Donkoh, Grandfather to the victim narrating the incident to Sompa News Eric Annan, indicated that these children despite George Antwi's frightenings, disclosed the incident to their parents where a formal complaint was logged at the police with a medical form issued which without hesitation got the police to arrest the accused person and arraigned him before the Twifo Praso District Court.

He was there charged with two counts being indecent assault and threats of harm. The court presided over by His Worship Maxwell Foli Kpodo after proceedings, granted the accused a bail of Gh¢5,000 with two sureties after he pleaded not guilty.

George Antwi following his bail was prohibited from traveling outside the jurisdiction of the court following his trial.
