22-year-old Bright Lacey and the fiancée Linda Asare has been apprehended by the Awutu Bereku District Police Command for allegedly killing their three-weeks-old baby boy for money ritual at Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District in the Central Region of Ghana.

Information gathered has it that, the suspect and his girlfriend are residents of the aforementioned vicinity but lives in separate houses.

According to sources, on Monday, January 22, 2024 around 11:00pm, the suspect went to the girlfriend's house to pay her and the baby a visit, not knowing he had an ulterior motive, thereby, outwitting the fiancée to the stealing of the baby boy who was discovered death with a severe cut on his neck, few minutes to his missing after the father had visited. 

Chief of Fetteh Kakraba, Nana Essel Amoanquando in an interview with Sompa News Eric Annan having expressed shock to the incident, charged youths of the country to work hard rather than resorting to quick money as witnessed in the case of Bright Lacey.

He again charged the Awutu Bereku District Police Command to beef up security in the area since criminal cases keep to surge up.
