Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah the Member of Parliament for Techiman South in the Bono East Region has reiterated his unending commitment towards education or enhancing human resources which is the only key to development or building a Nation.
He appreciated Teachers in Techiman at the 3rd edition of his MIKAM Teachers Awards which took place in Techiman at the forecourt of Bononkyempem Hall where a total of 86 Teachers with 16 outstanding Teachers were presented Certificates/Citations and some were rewarded with a Car, motorbikes, fridges, electrical irons, standing fans and many more.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah who doubles as a Deputy Minister for Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development said he initiated this MIKAM Teachers Awards in 2018 with support from the Ghana Education Service to encourage Teachers in Techiman which he has a dream to extend to the whole Bono East region in the near future.
For his part, Mr. Frimpong Emmanuel the Headmaster of Traa M/A Primary School who won the first prize (overall best Teacher) and took home the car, encouraged other Teachers to keep working hard because their time will come someday.
Mr. William Ballara Donkor an English Tutor at Yeboah Asuamah SHS in Nsuta who won the first prize for the year 2020 and some other Teachers who won prizes also spoke to the Media. They expressed their excitement amidst tears, and showed immense appreciation to the founder and organizers of the noble award scheme.
"It does not matter which corner you are in, you just need to put your best in your work. In the end, you shall be rewarded for your good service ."
