There is currently a brewing tension mounting at the New Juaben Traditional Area as an attempt to remove Black Stool from Queen Mother's room fails. 

Armed Police men in uniform from the Koforidua Divisional Police Command on Thursday 1st February, 2024 escorted three individuals Yaw Buatey, Kwaku Beng and Kofi Anim from the royal family of the Juaben Traditional Council broke and ransacked the stool room in an attempt to take away the black stool.

According to the Queen mother, Nana Akosua Afrakoma, the Adwampong Hemaa of New Juaben Traditional Area, following the failed attempt by the three individuals to break into the stool room on the midnight of Wednesday 31st January, 2024 due to resistance from the queen mother's gate, the three individuals went for police escort and on the second attempt broke into the stool room under supervision of the Koforidua District Police Commander now Acting Divisional Commander Chief Superintendent Emmanuel Baah.

The Queen Mother further disclosed that the attempted removal of the black stool is a calculated attempt by the traditional council to install a Chief which she opposed to therefore the traditional authority want to use uncustomary way to sideline her from the process.
