Members of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has been asked to live a lifestyle that depicts that of true Presbyterians Christians rather than engaging in acts that is alien to the doctrines of the church and the Holy Spirit.
Right Reverend Dr Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye said the church has laid down principles and doctrines that must be followed, however the influx of some alien activities and cultures have the tendency of destroying the beauty of the church principles.
However, Rt Rev Nana Opare Kwakye indicated that there are modern ways such as the use of the social media to propagate the gospel, but cultures that conflicts with the Holy -Spirited like nature of the church must be eschew.
He was speaking at the familiarization of the moderator with the Brong Ahafo Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at the Ebenezer congregation in Sunyani on Tuesday February 13.
In attendance were the Chairperson of the Brong Ahafo Presbytery, Ministers and their spouses, catechists and their spouses, members of men and women fellowship, members of Young People's Guild (YPG), Young Adult Fellowship (YAF) and some members of the Bono Ahafo Presbytery as well as some traditional rulers.
The moderator revealed his vision of winning 2 million members by the end of the year 2028. He applauded the major strides made during the operation 1.5m membership agenda in the reign of the former moderator.
Rt Rev Nana Opare Kwakye revealed that about 1000 new congregation would be established by the end of the year 2028, this he dubbed "operation 1000 Bicentennial."
The 19th moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana said the church would be 200 years in the year 2028 and it would be celebrated in a grand style. He therefore called on the entire Presbytery of the church to support and help complete the Kutunse project by the end of same year.
