Right Reverend Dr Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye, moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana has advised Ghanaian electorates to eschew all forms of violence ahead of the 2024 general elections.
He explained the nation since the inception of her democracy has performed better in terms of conducting a peaceful election hence there was no need to erode that records in the upcoming elections.
Rt Rev Nana Opare Kwakye noted that the peace of the nation must be the priority of the citizenry.
He was speaking at the familiarization of the moderator with the Brong Ahafo Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana at the Ebenezer congregation in Sunyani on Tuesday February 13.
He called on the electorates, political figures and all who matters in the election to desist from any act that can destabilize the peace of the nation before, during and after the polls.
He appealed to the electoral commission to discharge their duties diligently and professionally.
