A section of the Twifo Hemang Traditional Area royal members in the Central Region have rise to discard earlier claims by the Paramount Chief of the Traditional Area, Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV that the area's District Chief Executive nominee, Hon. Nana Kweku Abban is rejected by the people of Hemang over his insubordinate attitude towards the paramountcy.

According to these royal members, the widely circulated news over the opposition of the area's DCE nominee, is a maliciously orchestrated plot by Hon. Bright Wireko-Brobby, MP for Hemang Lower Denkyira and with his kid brother who is the Paramount Chief for the Twifo Hemang Traditional Area.

This counter announcement was made in a press conference organized by the Abokomahemaa of the Twifo Hemang Traditional Area together with her Abusuapayin and other chiefs.

Addressing the media at the presser, Nana Abena Nyarkowaa ll, Abokomahemaa for the Traditional Area upon condemning Otumfour Amoah Sasraku's slaughtering of sheep to curse both the District Assembly's Presiding Member elect who hails from Hemang and the DCE nominee, accused Hon. Bright Wireko-Brobby to be the face behind the chief's action over the fact that the DCE nominee isn't from his camp.

She quizzed to find out from the country's Assemblies of God hierarchy whether it's a norm in the church's practice to have its pastor who doubles as the Chief of Twifo Hemang, resort to slaughtering a sheep to curse others all because he objects a position they are to assume.

Nana Abena Nyarkowaa, however, beseeched Hon. Bright Wireko-Brobby and his brother, Otumfour Amoah Sasraku IV to draw their attention on finding a lasting solution to why DCEs appointed to the Assembly, end their tenure prematurely with stroke rather than focusing on such needless tangent, having had the Assembly's previous two DCEs suffer the same fate.

Abusuapayin for the Royal Abrade Family of Twifo Hemang, Nana Yaw Asamoah lll on his account, impelled government to ignore any claim leveled against the DCE nominee, as he is clean of all allegations peddled against him and appears fit for the position and has the backing of everyone in the District.

He questioned Otumfour Amoah Sasraku why he didn't raise his leveled allegation against the DCE nominee earlier to have leadership of both the Denkyira and Twifo Hemang Traditional Areas who constitute the Hemang Lower Denkyira District to sit and resolve the matter, only to make a big deal out of the issue now.

Nana Yaw Asamoah ascertained that all the Twifo Hemang Chief relayed during his engagement with the media is nothing short of baseless accusations and lies, as no one from Hemang opposes Hon. Kweku Abban over his DCE nomination.

The Queen Mother and her Chiefs in climaxing the presser, poured libation to overturn the Twifo Hemang Chief's curses invoked on the District Assembly's Presiding Member elect and the DCE nominee, but prayed for protection and long life from the ancestors for the two, coupled with the wisdom to govern the District.
