The immediate past National Premix Committee Chairman, John Quayson, otherwise known in the fishing industry as 'Manoma' has called for a mental examination on the Board Chairman for the National Peace Council (NPC), Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi over his approach to matters bothering Ghana's peace and security.
According to the former Premix boss, he find the NPC recent engagement with political parties in the country at its first quarter meeting in 2024 under the Political Party Trust Building Programme to be needless.
He established that the NPC Board Chairman having forgo the ideal way to tackle issues related to national security to rather chase after shadows, require him to get a special doctor to have his mind examine to ascertain whether all is well with his brains.
Manoma's peevedness in throwing verbal punches at the NPC Board Chair, follows a recent comment passed by the Member of Parliament for Adansi-Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Kobina Tahir Hammond who was recorded to be questioning his police personnel, why he didn't take along with him an AK47 gun but rather a pistol during his primaries last month.
A comment the former Premix Committee Chairman finds impeding to the peace Ghana shares, having had the tendancy to spark a political war in the election year the country finds itself, which never occurred to NPC to call the Adansi Asokwa MP to order only for its Board Chairman to call for a meeting with political parties in the country last week.
Addressing the media in a press conference, John Quayson noted that as it happened in the case of Razak Avoliya, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Youth Organizer for Suame in the Ashanti Region who was arrested over a silly comment passed to be preparing youths of his constituency to arm themselves for the 2024 general election in a circulated video interview with Oyerepa TV.
An action he will forever commend the Inspector General of Police, George Akufo Dampare for, as the comment issued by the Suame NDC Youth Organizer connoted to waging political violence which he doesn't subscribe to.
But quizzed to find out from the IGP, why the Adansi-Asokwa MP has been left off the hook over a similar comment the Suame NDC Youth Organizer made which warranted his arrest.
