Dr. Siaw Agyepong, the Founder and Executive Chairman of the Jospong Group of Companies, shared the story of how he used a GHC3.00 loan from his mother to kickstart his journey to becoming a prominent business figure in Africa.
After being tasked with managing his mother’s bookshop following his second-cycle education, he seized an opportunity to establish a printing press in 1995 to meet market demands.
This marked the beginning of the Jospong Printing Press, which was founded with the modest loan he received.
Through unwavering determination, dedication, and divine guidance, Dr. Siaw effectively managed the printing press and went on to establish numerous other successful ventures, earning him the title of a “serial entrepreneur”.
Despite facing financial constraints that forced him to abandon his aspirations of becoming a pilot or marine engineer, Dr. Siaw honed his business acumen by selling exercise books on the busy streets of Accra.
