The Member of Parliament for Sefwi Akontombra in the Western North Region, Hon. Alex Djornobuah Tetteh has generously donated television sets, wheelchairs, undisclosed amount of monies and citations to hundred best-performing individuals and institutions in the constituency.

The donation aims at recognizing exceptional achievements in various fields within the constituency.

Beneficiaries of the donation were selected from fields like the security service, education sector (both teaching and non-teaching staffs), schools, media practitioners, commercial drivers from the GPRTU, tricycle riders, health workers, among others.

Each beneficiary was given a 32-inch television set as awardee institutions were given citations and an undisclosed sum of money.

The initiative do not only highlight the MP to the development and empowerment of his constituents, but also underscores the importance of recognizing and encouraging excellence at all levels of society.

The MP following his laudable initiatives was bestowed the Sompahene of Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area by chiefs of the area during the event.

Speaking about the donation, Hon. Alex Djornobuah Tetteh emphasized the importance of providing jobs and facilitating development for the people of Sefwi Akontombra since his contest in 2016.

He indicated to have created enough jobs for the youth and have lobbied for the constituency to obtain its fair share of development through the central government and the MP's common fund.

According to the MP, he presented the items to the top-performing individuals and institutions to motivate and encourage them do more for the development of the constituency.

Nana Kwabena Ebi II, chief of Sefwi Akontombra who doubles as Benkumhene for the Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area on behalf of the beneficiaries, expressed gratitude to the MP for his encouragement.

He acknowledged the impact such act of kindness can have on a community and its development thereof.
