The University of Cape Coast (UCC) in its quest to maintain its enviable position as the best university in Ghana and West Africa has invested heavily in multiple infrastructure projects.
UCC's numerously undertaken infrastructural projects include, a Guest House for the university's Institute of Education, a Multipurpose Complex for the College of Health and Allied Sciences (set to be completed later this year), and the Science Annex Building (completed awaiting commissioning).
A five building office complex for academic staffs of the College of Legal and Humanity Studies and the College of Education Studies (likely for completion this year), and a building complex for the Africa Centre of Excellence for Coastal Resilience (completed and occupied).
Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, Vice-Chancellor for UCC, speaking at the university's 11th session of the 56th congregation, recounted UCC to proceed on such trajectory and more to assure the university community of the institution's committment to maintain its widely desired position as the topmost ranked university in Ghana and across West Africa.
He affirmed that with these facilities, the university sought to create an enabling environment for effective teaching and learning as well as enhancing research productivity.
