Prempeh College Robotics Club has presented their two world championship trophies to the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana and the Presbytery Chairpersons.
The Robotics Club, led by the Headmaster and the Assistant Headmaster Academic, and some other staff presented two trophies to the Moderator, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Nana Opare Kwakye.
With Artificial Intelligence (AI) flooding our world today, robotics is gradually coming in to ease human stress in many sectors of life - factory work, energy, mining, education, health, agriculture, sports and many more.
Prempeh College hoist the flag of Ghana so high among many other countries in the world during the Robofest World Championship held in Michigan, USA.
The team, among other tasks in the competition, developed a robotic car to do deliveries while obeying all traffic regulations within a record time of 2 hours.
With a perfect score, they took the first position, and, in another task, they took the second position with another perfect score of 100%.
The headmaster indicated that Prempeh College does not celebrate mediocrity but perfect scores. He explained that, with discipline and Christian nurturing whatever they set their minds on shall be achieved with perfection.
Prempeh College is focused on creating waste bin that would open themselves and close as one gets close to dump waste. With this project, they hope to bring it to a large-scale production for the benefit of all.
The Moderator, on behalf of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, promised continuous support to the college. With this achievement, PCG gave the school GH₵10,000.00.
