The Bono Regional Office of the National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) says it is undertaking a project to make to make the various roads in urban areas friendly for children.
According to Madam Abigail Atinpoka, the Bono Regional Manager of the NRSA, the Child Safety Crossing Point project would greatly reduce the high cases of pedestrian knockdowns being recorded in the region.
In the interim, she told Sompa FM in an interview in Sunyani that the project had commence at some major stretches in the Sunyani Municipality.
Mad Atinpoka appealed to commercial drivers to cooperate with the contractors to facilitate the project and bring sanity on the road.
