Newly installed chief of Memmpeasem in the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Constituency in the Central Region, Nana Dwomokow ll has warned all and sundry to be cautious not to deal with any fraudulent individual posing himself as chief or elder of the community.

According to him, Memmpeasem as a community has solely one true chief, recognizable by the Central Regional House of Chiefs which is non other but himself.

He relayed this at a press conference held on Sunday at his confinement following the recent destoolment of Nana Nyam ll, who through unlawful means ascended the throne of Memmpeasem for 32 years.

Nana Dwomokow at the presser, warned the general public to be guarded not to involve in any business transaction with either the destooled chief or any member close to him in regard as chief of the community.

He ascertained to be the legitimate person to be contacted in any dealings involving the purchase of lands or any form of developmental project to be carried out in the community.

The chief clarified that non of the lands at Memmpeasem are currently for sale and as such, shouldn't entertain anyone who will assure to help in the purchase of any portion of land at the community.

He stressed that should any individual or organisation be in need of a land at the community, should deem it fit to approach him and his elders for the necessary steps to be followed.

The soft spoken chief then called on old buyers of Memmpeasem lands to come with every attained document necessary for validation and affirmation of their land.

Nana Dwomokow again remarked to understand massive developmental projects at the community to see to the construction of an ultramodern medical centre for residents, a school, car park, construction of a treated drinking water, a befitting market place for traders and to also see to the area's poor sanitation issues having contacted the District Council for guidance.
