The Principal Standard and Quality Assurance Manager of the Ghana Tourism Authority Mr. Mathew Osei Prempeh also known as Nana Prempeh has called for segregation of waste products in the country to ensure waste products are well managed to the highest standards compared to the developed countries.
He asserted that under the waste segregation policy every waste would be separated through provision of assorted waste bins to cater for the waste in the separate bins so that waste management would be given a facelift.
Mr. Osei Prempeh, who is also the live patron of Go Clean Ghana Green, a group made up of people from different professions in Kumasi, engaged in the clean-up exercise, tree planting and presentation of toiletries at the Manhyia District Hospital and the Manhyia Palace. He reminded Ghanaians that a conducive environment and cleaned society was a major boost for the growth of the tourism.
Speaking to SOMPA NEWS during the exercise, Mr. Mathew Osei Prempeh said the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was extremely appreciative of the support and commitment of Ghanaians and Ashantis in particular during all these years as the Kings of Asante. He said Otumfuo was always against perpetuation of a filthy environment adding God is always against an unclean environment for His people
Receiving the items on behalf of the Manhyia District Hospital, head of medical records of the hospital, Mr. Samuel Larbi reminded the philanthropists to collaborate with the hospitals in their quest to donate to the facilities.
