The Chief Executive Officer of Obibini Blackman Company limited Dr. Kofi Aboagye Dompem has warned NPP flagbearer and Vice President of Ghana Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia to be more introspective with those within his ranks so that such appointees would reflect his good intentions. According to him, meetings some business men in the region had held with him prior NPP 2016 has come to nothing since those appointees or party big men are failing to communicate the reality on the ground. He posited that the Ghanaian businessman could not be taking for granted as usual adding most of the business in the region was not flourishing compared to some few years back.
He disclosed that expenses pertaining to his business running have quadrupled with especially the payment of electricity bills were making business management very difficult.
The Vice President Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia in his recent campaign tour to the region met business groupings in the region where opportunities were given to them to spleen out their misgivings.
Dr. Kofi Aboagye Dompem recounted that he was paying 20,000 cedis electricity bill before 2016 but he is currently paying 200,000 cedis emphasizing that he has to seek the intervention of the Energy Ministry to outline a payment plan regime to enable him pay the bills. He assured that any business man was ever ready to welcome a leader who does not put impediments in the operations of their businesses adding that the government must ensure a congenial atmosphere was created for the survival of the local companies.
He said he had tried in vain with attempts to speak to the Vice President over the developments while those close to him would not let him know the reality on the ground adding he must be wary of those around in his bid to become the President of Ghana.
