The Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan and the Region's House of Chiefs President who double as paramount chief of the Breman Traditional Area, Odeefuor Amoakwa Buadu VIII have commissioned an ultramodern community library for the people of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District (AOB).
Odeefuor Amoakwa Buadu speaking at the library commissioning, recounted that the aim of providing the facility is to improve quality education and also enhance the reading skill of students in the district.
He told Sompa News that the library has been his vision since 2019 and had to personally raise funds for its construction, since help came from nowhere.
The Central Regional House of Chiefs President noted with pleasure that an appeal was made to Nana Professor Fosu Perkoh III, Toapentenhene for the Breman Traditional Council, through whose effort, facilitation of the library has been actualized.
The library prior to its commissioning, was equipped with 20 computers, 30 tablets, and various course books and will be made accessible to individuals, particularly students in the district.
Central Regional Minister, Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan at the event, appreciated every individual whose effort has sort to add to government's quality education.
She eulogized that library plays an important role in every educational system, and that the facility is in to aid the district raise diplomatic people to help bring development to AOB some few years to come.
Nana Professor Fosu Perkoh III, Toapentenhene for the Breman Traditional Council, remarked the district's preparedness to develop its indigenes through eduction.
He asserted that the vision of traditional leaders in the area towards construction of the library, propelled him to lobby for it from the Lombard family.
The Breman Traditional Council Toapentenhene further charged citizens of the district to also come in and help for the district to gain enough educationists.
