Professor of Enterprise Development and the Pro Vice-Chancellor for the University of Cape Coast, Prof. Rosemond Aboagyewa Boohene has urged the Ghanaian government to create enabling environment for micro, small, and medium size enterprises in the country to grow.
According to her, the development of every advanced country, lies on the rigidity and strength of its SMEs.
She told Sompa News after her inaugural lecture at the UCC School of Graduate Studies dubbed, "Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development in Practice: Tracking the Pathways."
Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, Vice-Chancellor of UCC at the inaugural lecture, described Prof. Aboagyewa Boohene to be a prominent scholar, educator and a researcher in the field of entrepreneurship and small enterprise development.
He asserted that with over 27 years of experience in higher education, the UCC Pro Vice-Chancellor has significantly contributed to the academic and practical understanding of entrepreneurial processes, innovation, enterprise development and startup ecosystems.
