The General Manager of St. Paul’s Cooperative Credit Union Mr. John Mensah has expressed optimism in the performance of the Credit Union over its financial successes chalked over the years.
According to him, the sound managerial acumen exhibited by the Management, led by the Board of Directors and its cherished customers have seen total transformation in their operation during the several years in operations.
He indicated despite the recent crisis that hit some well-established financial institutions in the country, St. Paul’s Cooperative Credit Union recorded substantial profits as well as establishing new branches across the suburbs of Kumasi, apart from its main office at Amakom.
Mr. John Mensah made the disclosure during the 28th Annual General meeting of St. Paul’s Cooperative Credit Union, where customers from their various branches trooped to their office at Amakom to also adopt some resolutions.
He however said the Credit Union was reeling from the recent Banking sector clean since some of their locked up funds were still not paid, which would have gone a long way to support their operations as a financial institution.
He stated that though the government in the past made some part payments of about three hundred thousand’s cedis of the funds, the remainder must be paid in full to enhancement their financial commitments.
Speaking on the sidelines during the 28th Annual General meeting of St. Paul’s Cooperative Credit Union, the Board Chairman of St. Paul’s Cooperative Credit Union Mr. Emmanuel Boakye expressed appreciation to their customers for their support in their operations that has made the firm sound with its strategies, and also making them gainful during the year under review.
Mr. Emmanuel Boakye who was full of excitements over the success story of the institution, called on the general public to take advantage of their various products put out by the management adding that most of their customers have made considerable profits through investments made purchasing of their shares and other facilities.
Some of the customers expressed their elations due to a number of gains they had made since joining the Credit Union emphasizing that they had seen total transformation in their business lives.
