The Canadian High Commissioner to Ghana on Wednesday July 24, 2024 has sent a delegation to a Ghanaian mechanic and craftsman Mr. Robbert Ayertey for his immense contribution to empowering the Ghanaians female youths.
The delegation was led by representatives of the World University of Canada (WUSC) and Global Affairs Canada who are the main champions of the INVESTHER project.
The INVESTHER project is an initiative that strives to build sustainable pathways to enhanced economic empowerment, well-being and inclusive growth for women in Ghana.
The project is aiming to support 5000 women to enter and thrive within high-growth, male-dominated trades.
Mr. Robbert Ayertey who is well known as Master Ayertey over the past three years has been training young females in mechanic.
He also offers support like stipends for these trainees, hostels and other to help them achieve their future aspirations.
The delegation from the Canadian High Commission after their tour at his shop in Kumasi today expressed their satisfaction about how Master Ayertey has been able to carry out the project.
Before this visit, Master Ayertey was invited by the High Commissioner to his office to congratulate him on his contribution for helping young women in Kumasi and beyond.
Speaking to the media Master Ayertey expressed his profound gratitude to the High Commissioner for the honour.
