The Member of Parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District in the Central Region, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah has  organized a free eye screening for the entire district.

The eye screening forms part of the corporate social responsibility of the Member of Parliament.

Speaking to Sompa News at the event, he said that since the eye plays a vital role and an essential tool that helps in the daily activities of human beings, necessitated him not to sit aloof for his people to suffer in terms of eye issues having carried out lots of surgeries since his election as MP for the constituency.

Some beneficiaries of the eye screening, expressed their heartfelt gratitude to their MP  for such a great initiative, as most of them appears financially crippled to go for eye screenings.

They recounted that aside the free eye screening facilitated by the Member of Parliament, has equally taken it upon himself to bear the cost of every drug issued as well as surgery if the need be and asked of God's blessings upon him.
