Chief Technical Advisor and Head of Experimentation for the United Nations Development Program in Ghana (UNDP), Dr. Allen Anie has urged youths in this country to be very innovative to help reduce the unemployment rate in Ghana.
Dr. Allen Anie advised the youths at a stakeholders engagement with the people of Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District in the Central Region not to depend solely on the government for job opportunities.
According to him, the youths can create something to target the solving of a particular problem in the community to fetch them money in other not to depend on the government, since the government alone cannot solve the country's unemployment rate.
He said that UNDP as a non-governmental organization, has come to empower and support youths in this country to be innovative.
Project Manager for DELCOM FOUNDATION, Madam Bridgette Ama Essuon also added that the youths should take advantage of every opportunity that will come their way, as her foundation is in to help youths including people living with disability.
She remarked that being innovative is the best way to succeed in life because youths are really suffering in terms of job seeking in this country.
