The president of Bono regional house of chiefs, and also the paramount chief for the Dormaa Traditional Council, Osaagyefo Oseadeyor Dr. Agyemang Badu II has proposed initiatives to empower young people with employment opportunities in the Bono region.
Speaking at the Grand durbar of the 3rd edition of the M3ko Bono 2024 Homecoming and Festival held at Techiman on Saturday, 10th, August, Dormaahene proposed that they have a five-year development plan with a target each year, to support in building infrastructure to create employment opportunities.
He explained that, this year, they should target an amount of 2million Ghana cedis, then 10million in 2025, 20million in 2026, 30million in 2027, 50million in 2028, 100million in 2029 of which he promised to donate 10percent of each. This donation according to Dormaahene, they would use it to build infrastructure to create jobs.
He called on all other chiefs in the Bono enclave to support him in making this dream come through to assist in job creation after the Syears.
He also called on various stakeholders, individuals and friends in the diaspora to come and support in creating jobs opportunities for the youth.
On behalf of the M3ko Bono organizers, Nana Kofi Kofi Yeboah Seth (King Setho) expressed their gratitude to the various chiefs, stakeholders and the general public for supporting in making M3ko Bono a successful one.
He highlighted that, their main purpose of organizing this event is ensuring unity among everyone in the bono enclave.
