DOIII Abdul Wasiu Hudu, Public Relations Officer for the Central Regional GNFS in an address to the media over the tragic incident observed that some casualties were already transported to the hospital even before the arrival of the GNFS rescue team.
He advised drivers to drive safe on the Elmina-Takoradi road since the stretch is small yet busy with heavy and long vehicles that travels from Takoradi and neighbouring countries towards the country's capital town.
Cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained as the police have taken over investigation into the incident.
