The Adontehene of the Abrem Agona Traditional Area in the Central Region, Nana Tepor V has admonished that it's only unity which can foster development in the land they reside.
He made this assertion during the launch of this year's Aye Festival, under the theme: 'United For A Safer Tomorrow: The Collective Effort Towards A Safer Future For All,' slated to hold from November 1-8, 2024.
The festival celebrated by the people of Abrem Agona is to honour and appreciate the God of Aye, who is believed to have fought for the land of Abrem Agona Traditional Area and still defend the people of the land to flourish in all their endeavours.
The launch saw people of all walks of life, turnout in their numbers to grace the successfully held event.
In attendance were all heads of extended families of the Abrem Agona township, representatives from neighbouring Traditional Councils like the Edina Traditional Council among others.
He recounted in his address saying "I Nana Tepor alone if given the opportunity can do nothing. But with the support of everyone, we can achieve our set target," the amiable chief observed.
Nana Tepor beseeched his people to let that which has happened in the past remain in the past in other to start everything anew.
He, however, pleaded on everyone to hold onto unity through which he noted can facilitate the community's desired development.
Information gathered by Sompa News Eric Annan has it that this year's Aye Festival will welcome Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, the immediate past Vice President of the National House of Chiefs and Omanhene of Abeadzi Traditional Area in the Central Region as Chairman for the occasion.
The festival is poised to present diverse cultural activities such as traditional foods, music and dance, history day, games and many other activities.
