The Member of Parliament for Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District in the Central Region, Hon. Alhaji Alhassan Kobina Ghansah has admonished that teachers ought to be rewarded as well on earth amid their reward purported to be in heaven.
He made this statement after awarding hardworking teachers in his district in a colorful event which falls in line with his 2020 campaign promises.
1,500 teachers were on the day awarded by the MP, out of which 30 of them took home 32 inch flat-screen television set each with the overall best teacher getting a double door refrigerator, as the rest were awarded with a cash prize.
The Member of Parliament in a media interaction at the event noted to have promise teachers in his district to annually appreciate their effort with an award.
A promise which slightly took a nosedive upon becoming an opposition MP. A circumstance which seemed to nullify the strength of fulfilling the award scheme he scheduled to come off every year.
Hon. Alhaji Kobina Ghansah appealed on constituents to vote himself and John Dramani Mahama to power come December 7, to aid him award teachers in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District every year to help revamp the district's education.
Some awardee teachers at the event also shared their profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament for appreciating their effort and contribution to education in the district.
