Second Lady, Her Excellency Samira Bawumia has made a cash donation of GH¢20,000 to blind twin sisters after making their plight known on SOMPA NKOMO hosted by Oheneni Ama Korankye on SOMPA TV. The twin sisters' story touched Samira's heart, prompting her to offer support after appearing on the show.
The twin sisters' plight was shared on the Sompa Nkomo show, which caught the attention of the Second Lady.
Accompanied by Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Bosiako, also known as Wontumi, and PC Lawyer Darko, Samira Bawumia took the opportunity to urge Ghanaians to vote massively for Dr. Alhaji Mahamadu Bawumia and Lawyer John Darko.
The kind gesture is characteristic of Samira Bawumia's philanthropic efforts, particularly through her Samira Empowerment and Humanitarian Projects (SEHP), which focuses on empowering the underprivileged in Ghana. The donation is expected to go a long way in supporting the blind twin sisters and improving their living conditions.She called on all Ghanaians to come out in their numbers to vote on Saturday.
On the Anti-Witch Craft Bill which is still awaiting the President’s assent, Her Excellency Samira Bawumia said the Vice President Dr. Bawumia was eager to append his signature once he is elected into office in January.
Meanwhile chairman Wontomi also added that, Dr Bawumia is the only Hope left for Ghanaians. He flatly denied rumours of Kejetia Market being closed as untrue adding it was the figment of the opposition NDC’s imagination and should not be believed.
