Global Brigades-Ghana, a non-governmental organization which is well known for its numerous humanitarian activities undertaken across the country, has handed over a water project each to Nyamebekyere and Brenyi all in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency in the Central Region.
The projects which cost the organization fortune of dollars, saw its commissioning and handing over ceremony take place on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, with the full participation of residents who couldn't hide their joy but wore smiles all along.
The water project following its worth to persons in and around the aforementioned beneficiary communities, garnered astute personalities like Chiefs of the above communities, officials of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (Cape Coast Branch) and staffs of Global Brigades-Ghana.
The organization following its commissioning of the water projects, consequently donated 15 desktop computers to the Ayeldu ICT Centre and an Auto-Clip machine as well to the community's CHP Compound upon a herald request made to them.
Speaking in an engagement with the media, Okufo-Gyasi Atala VII, Chief of Nyamebekyere expressed outmost gratitude to Global Brigades for its help in lifting off one burden his community has suffered for years and assured to put in place all necessary measures to see to the better maintenance of the water project.
Okakaben Idun Andoh X, Paramount Chief of the Kwamankese Traditional Area upon Global Brigade's donation of desktop computers to the Ayeldu ICT Centre, thanked the organization for its sheer effort to enhance the area's education by impacting pupils with the effective adaptation of technology.
He asserted to engage parents of Ayeldu in a meeting to strategize on how best the donated computers will be well taken care of, as he implored teachers and parents of the area never to hesitate to resort to the paramountcy should they encounter any challenge on the computers.
Executive Director of Global Brigades-Ghana, Alhaji Shafiu Shaibu, recounted the organization to focus most of its attention on deprived communities, having had Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese as one of its three selected area's to render help to in the Central Region, with the region forming part of it's selected regions across the nation.
Alhaji Shafiu Shaibu on the humanitarian activities undertaken by the organization, called for conducive environment to implore his outfit do more for the Ghanaian citizenry and appealed on state institutions like the Ghana Water Company, Ghana Health Service, and the Community Water and Sanitation Agency for their corporation having been key partners to the organization.
