The Chief Executive Officer of Semanhyia Group of Companies and Semanhyia Golden (SG) Mall situated in Kumasi (Bomso, Ayigya) has been accepted and approved as the Gyasehene of Kuntu in the Benkum Division of the Nkusukum Traditional Area in the Central Region with the stool name, Nana Semanhyia Akotsin Ahentsir X.
This follows a customary introduction of the SG Mall CEO, known in private life as John Akotsin Arhin but affectionately referred to as Nana Semanhyia to the Nkusukum Traditional Council together with his Gyasehemaa, Nana Yeenua I during the traditional council's first meeting in 2025 on Friday, January 10 at Saltpond.
The council meeting equally witnessed the introduction of Nana Owudzi Abban Kruntsir VIII, the newly enstooled Twafohene of Kuntu together with his Twafohemaa, Nana Ewudziwa Assanwa Gyanpafo.
Speaking to the media at the council meeting, Okogyeaman Okese Essandor IX, Paramount Chief of the Nkusukum Traditional Area implored the newly admitted chiefs and queen mothers into the traditional council to as much as possible embrace and advocate peace and unity always by eschewing litigation should any misunderstanding erupt between themselves and their chiefs.
Okogyeaman Okese Essandor IX further notified that it's only through this trajectory that the development the traditional area has yearned for over the years can be fostered.
Nana Semanhyia Akotsin Ahentsir X speaking on behalf of the accepted chiefs and queen mothers, expressed delight for the overwhelming acceptance and pledged to offer their unwavering support to betterment the Nkusukum Traditional Area with adequate developmental projects.
