The Reverend Dennis Sasu, the Pastor of the Sunyani East Industrial District of the Church of Pentecost, has urged Ghanaians to support and pray for President John Dramani Mahama in his efforts to 'reset' the nation.
Besides his experience in government, he emphasised that the President in particular required God's direction and divine wisdom to turn the economic fortunes of the nation round and thereby build a better society for all.
Preaching a sermon at a service of the church, Rev Sasu said faith in absolute faith in God remained critical in "navigating through and tackling the nation's socio-economic challenges".
"It is therefore imperative for Christians to awake spiritually, and offer prayers for the President and his ministers", he stated, saying "in these times of uncertainty, there is also the need for the President to rely on God for wisdom and strength".
"In fact the reset agenda is not merely a political or economic initiative, rather a spiritual journey that requires the collective faith and action of all", Rev Sasu stated.
The Rev Minister noted that the reset agenda was in the right direction to revitalize the nation's economy, and governance structures and thereby tackled unemployment, corruption, and infrastructure development.
That required incessant prayers tailored with hard work, active community service collective participation in national development efforts.
"As Christians we must serve as the light that guides our nation towards a prosperous and brighter future", he stated, urging the Christendom to inspire change, foster unity, and support the government to build a prosperous nation for generations to come".
