The Apegyahene of Asebu Traditional Area in the Central Region, Nana Obokese Ampah l has described the recent attacks by members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on various institutions across the country and the non appointment of preferred individuals by the new government to be an action precipitated by poverty of the mind.
He emphasized to be various forms of poverty, as the hight of it can transcend to affect a persons brain since hunger and hardship played a pivotal role in the action undertaken by these NDC individuals.
The Asebu Traditional Area Apegyahene echoed this in an engagement with the media to sound a word of caution to the new NDC administration to prioritize in bettering the living standard of Ghanaians and enhance the state of the country's economy.
Nana Obokese Ampah l chanced on the opportunity to implore the new NDC government and its leader, President John Dramani Mahama to commence his agenda of resetting the nation by first resetting the mindset of the Ghanaian youth and the citizenry in general.
He stressed that the state in which Ghana presently finds itself, coupled with the level of poverty confronted by the citizenry has affected their psyche, thus made it necessary for the President to first begin his resetting agenda by psychologically renewing the minds of youths in the country.
The Chief noted that President Mahama ought to make the youth and the citizenry of Ghana understand that they can't fight for any person who might be working elsewhere with fat earnings and has nothing to lose in life with all the educational accolades to his credit at the expense of their future and well-being.
He admonished that the time is now for all hands to come on desk and revive the state of Ghana to its preferred status for the comfort of every Ghanaian, whether young, old, educated or illiterate.
