The Muslim community in Sunyani, the Bono Regional capital has lauded President John Dramani Mahama for reducing the annual Hajj pilgrimage fare from GHC75,000 to GHC62,000.

In an interview with Sompa FM, the Muslims said they were grateful to the President, saying the reduction in the fares would enable more Muslims to participate in this year's Mecca prayers.

Adams Issah, a resident in the Sunyani Zongo Community praised the President.

In her view, Salamatu Usif, another resident said Muslims would be forever grateful to Mr Mahama and his government however urged the President to do more to create jobs for the Zongo youth.
