A devastating fire swept through the Kejetia Market in Kumasi, Ashanti region, destroying two shops along the F-Line section of the market.
The fire, which started about 3:59am this morning, quickly spread, engulfing the two shops and causing significant damage to the surrounding area.
Firefighters and market authorities were quick to respond to the incident, but not before the two shops were completely destroyed.

The Officer In-Charge of the Kejetia Fire Post, ADO 1 Ebenezer Opoku, has revealed that the cause of the recent fire that gutted two shops along the F-Line of the Kejetia Market is still unknown.
Speaking to the press, ADO 1 Opoku stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire, but so far, no conclusion has been reached.
Meanwhile, Nana Akwesi Prempeh, President of the Federation of Kejetia Traders Association, has advised traders to take precautions to prevent similar incidents in the future.
Nana Prempeh urged traders to ensure that they switch off all electrical devices before leaving the market, as this could help prevent fires caused by electrical faults.
The Kejetia Market fire has left traders counting their losses, and the Federation of Kejetia Traders Association is working to support those affected.
