A 13-year-old JHS 2 student, Vincent Ntiamoah, of St. Michael Junior High School at Nkawkaw, tragically lost his life after being run over by a speeding Matiz taxi can while on his way to school.

According to eyewitness Kofi Affreh, the deceased boarded an overloaded tricycle otherwise known as "pragyia".

The rider asked Vincent to sit beside him due to the lack of space. Midway through the journey, the rider suddenly applied the brakes, causing Vincent to fall onto the road.

The Matiz, which was following the "pragya," ran over him. Vincent was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by doctors.

His body has been deposited at the hospital's morgue. The Matiz driver and the "pragya" rider have been arrested and are assisting the Police with the investigation.
