With the world now turned into a global village through the help of computers, Aide Du Ciel, a France-based non-profitable organization which translates 'Help From Above', has donated over 50 laptop computers and projectors to some selected basic schools within the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) Municipality in the Central Region.

The donation sort to enhance teaching and learning within the area, since a number of basic schools within the Municipality lacks the requisite materials needed for effective ICT education.

Schools which received of the donated laptop computers and projectors include Ntranoa M/A Basic School, Abee AME Zion School, Bronyibima M/A Basic, Abreshia M/A Basic School and Breman M/A Basic School.

Speaking in an engagement with the media on what motivated the benevolent act, Mrs. Mary Frimpong, Founder of the organization and a Ghanaian based in France, disclosed her bizarre experience of once visiting a basic school whose pupils had no knowledge on how to use a computer during one of her holidays in Ghana.

The unfortunate situation to her, donned her to offer assistance to basic schools in the country, particularly to those within Elmina and its catchment areas for students to access hands-on practicals on the usage of computers.

According to her, a student's future is miserable if he does not know how to effectively use a computer in this modern day and age.

She noted that her aim is to see every student within Elmina and its enclave gain indepth knowledge on computer skills and charged beneficiary schools to take adequate care of the received items, as the organization will frequently come around to check on the state of the donated laptops and projectors.

Some Heads of school and teachers whose outfits benefited of the donated laptops, in an interview with Sompa TV's Eric Annan, shared their unwavering appreciation and excitement for the donation which sort to improve teaching and learning, particularly on ICT, since the world is now computerized.

Other students whose schools benefited of the laptops couldn't hide their joy, but extended some words of gratitude to Aide Du Ciel since the laptop computers received will offer them proper understanding and knowledge on their studied ICT education.
