A devastating fire has ravaged a two-bedroom apartment in Twifo Abodom in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District in the Central Region, leaving 85-year-old Abena Apomaah homeless.
According to the victim, the fire started after electricity was restored following a week-long power outage.
She survived the fire outbreak, thanks to some good samaritans who rescued and took her to a nearby house.
Despite community efforts to extinguish the flames, the fire destroyed the apartment, leaving Abena Apomaah with significant losses including a television set, mattresses, freezers, waist beads, panties and other valuables.
Several attempts by the community to contact the fire service department in Twifo Praso proved futile as they did not get their contact.

The incident has left the old woman devastated and in an unbearable situation with urgent need for support to rebuild her life.
