Wheelbarrows and truck pushers in the Sunyani Municipality have appealed to the government to create decent jobs for them to enhance their socio-economic livelihoods.

Most of them said they were Senior High School graduates who had travelled from the Northern part of the country to find decent jobs to do only to end as wheelbarrow and truck pushers.

In an interview with Sompa FM at the Sunyani Central Business District (CBD), reminded President Mahama of his Election 2024 promise to create more jobs for the youth.

Wheelbarrow pushers said life was difficult for them now and appealed to the President to do something immediately. 

They also appealed to the Sunyani Traditional Council to find a decent place for them to settle and to do their economic activities.

Finally they expressed worry that because they did not have decent place to sleep some of them were always fall sick, slowing down their economic activities.
