Investors from Iran will arrive in the country soon to undertake feasibility studies for the establishment of an Engineering School of Technology to make Sunyani a technology hub in the country, Mr Seid Mubarak, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sunyani East Constituency has said.
He said extensive discussions between his office and the investors were progressing, saying "I just returned from Iran and the outcome is very positive".
In an interview with Sompa FM Mr Mubarak said with the school, Sunyani would become a technological hub in the country, saying his office had collaborated with some traditional authorities and acres of land had been earmarked for the project.
"Very soon the investors will arrive in the country to undertake the feasibility studies", he stated, adding that the investors had also developed interest to invest in agriculture.
The MP said the school would focus on training young people in robotics, manufacturing, assemble and repair mobile phones and other modern gadgets and devices as well as advanced Artificial Intelligence tools to create job opportunities for the people.
