One of the victims who were rescued by ADOII Joseph Baidoo expresses his appreciation to personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service for his life.
Nana Yaw, was one of the victims who were trapped in a well upon working at Konna Obuasi in the Central Region which the Agona Swedru Fire Station responded to the distress call.
During the rescue exercise he and his other colleagues were rescued, but unfortunately the fire officer got drowned.
In an emotional moment, he mentioned that he wouldn't have been here today if not because of the extraordinary bravery of the fire rescue team especially ADOII Joseph Baidoo.
He was testifying during the climax of this year's international firefighters day at Agona Swedru which was dedicated to ADOII Joseph Baidoo in the presence of his wife and kid.
The Municipal Fire Commander, DOII Abdul Wasiu Hudu in eulogizing ADOII Baidoo, described him as an exemplified bravery and sacrifice worthy of national recognition.
The commander appealed to benevolent individuals to assist in completion of a gym that was initiated to sustain his legacy and memory but stalled due to inadequate resources.
