Penyman Foundation, a charitable organization which is well known in Ghana for empowering women to be self-sufficient, has declared its intention to offer assistance to thousands of women this year.
According to Director for the Foundation, Mr. Noah Kwasi Mends, recounted that the foundation aims to extend financial support to over 2000 needy women in the Asikuma Odoben Brakwa District in the Central Region before the end of 2025.
He reiterated that the rational behind this initiative is to help reduce the unemployment rate in the district drastically.
Mr. Noah Kwasi Mends eulogized that most women in the district are really struggling in life, yet needs a little capital to start up a business which seems impossible for them to acquire.
Speaking at a ceremony where some helpless women in the district where offered financial assistance, the Foundation Director cited that "through the effort of Mr. Eric Kwesi Taylor, CEO for Penyman Foundation, these women have received of such financial support."
Adding that "the money presented to them wasn't offered as loans but for free in other for them to be self-reliant," he emphasized.
Some beneficiaries of the kind gesture in expressing their joy, thanked the Foundation and its CEO for supporting women in the district through a gesture they described as a sign of relief, as they assured to make good use of the money received.
