Headmaster of Ajumako Kromaim Methodist Basic School, John-Sohn Quaicoo, lies in critical condition after chief allegedly ordered thugs to beat him for planting pineapple suck behind his own house at Enyan Denkyira in the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam-District in the Central Region.
A report by Sompa TV's Eric Annan uncovers that Nana Ampandoh II, the Asona Twafohene of Enyan Denkyira, had earlier ordered the Headmaster to remove the pineapple sucks planted behind his bonafide apartment, which the headmaster declined, saying he owns the land and that the chief can't place such orders on him.
The Headmaster narrated that after several altercations between the two, the chief threatened him to wait and see.
He said, days after confrontation with the chief, he was in the house when he heard a team of heavily built men numbering about 7, shouting for his presence outside.
According to Mr. Quaicoo, upon stepping out without any provocation, these men started landing him blows from all angles till he passed out only to see himself at the Ajumako Government Hospital—with the accusation of him insulting the chief, as his persistent call for a rescuer from these thugs proved futile.
The Headmaster amid the ensuing altercation between him and Nana Ampandoh, said to have no issues with the chief that may provoke him to launch such attack on him, coupled with the fact that he has been forcefully discharge from the hospital over inadequate bed space.
The Headteacher further appealed to the Ghana Police Service to as a matter of urgency, do something about the incident, as nothing has been done about the occurrence since its report to the Ajumako Police Station, as the chief continues to subdue residents of the area with his authority. Adding that he now lives in fear over his assault by the unidentified thugs.
