A Twenty-Three-year-old young man, identified only as Michael, has died after drowning in River Nsesereso, a town in the suburb of Dormaa in the Bono Region.

The saddening incident happened on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Nsesereso.

Narrating the incident to Sompa news, eye witness and a reporter for Akomapa FM, Akwasi Bodua shockingly revealed that the deceased, also a Chainsaw Operator died over his rude behaviour towards the river.

The eyewitness, further explained that Michael (deceased) went to the riverside with his two other friends to wash after a day's work which made them dirty.

While washing up, the two Colleagues asked their friend, Michael to leave the river and proceed to their destination.

According to the repoter, "the other friends asked for their leave whiles Michael remained in the river swimming,

" Michael let's go, the river is too huge, we are afraid to go further" but Michael refused and responded, " Even Sea, I've swum in it not this small river".

The two friends left and later came back to witness that their friend has been drowned.

Libation was poured by Nananom and the body was discovered, retrieved and sent to the morgue for autopsy.
