60-year old groundnut farmer allegedly murders wife at Nkoranza-Nkwabeng 

 

Robert Ayambile, a-60-year old farmer at Nkwabeng-Nanakuma in the Nkoranza Municipality of the Bono East Region is in the grips of the police for allegedly mudering his wife.

 

The groundnut farmer butchered the late Madam Yaa Kaya, 55 years with cutlass in their farm last Sunday evening, and her body has since been deposited at the Nkoranza St Theresah's hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

 

Mr Daniel Owiredu, the Nkoranza South Municipal Chief Executive and the Chairman of the Municipal Security Committee who confirmed the story told reporters his office received information that somebody has been murdered at a farm in the community.

 

He said he quickly informed the police and a police search party was immediately dispatched to the farm where the lifeless body of the deceased was discovered, with several cutlass wounds.

 

Mr Owiredu said police preliminary investigations led to the arrest of the suspect who would soon be arraigned before court.
