An Economist and Senior Research Fellow with the Institute of Fiscal Studies, Dr. Saeed Boakye has revealed that the government has been unable to shore up revenue and would not be surprised if Ghana returns to IMF, He disclosed in an interview with Omanhene Adu Boakye on Tuesday. 

He said the rate at which this government is borrowing is too much yet things are hard and he has nothing to do revert the economy but resort to IMF for assistance. 

He alluded that the campaign messages from both political parties in the country are too much, and the zeal to take power has caused them to promise heaven and earth yet they fail to deliver on their promises and rather borrow beyond their strength causing financial misappropriation and economic hardship.

He, therefore, called on the government to fix the country and relay mechanisms to avert and return the country's finances to life.
