The newly established media firm in Sunyani, Sompa 98.8 FM under the Teraone media has donated airtime worth 50,000 Ghana cedis to the Bono Regional coordinating council.
Announcing the gesture on behalf of the Teraone media on Sompa Fm morning show, the general manager for Sompa 98.9 FM, Mr Aboagye Boadi Yaw said the gesture is to support the communication bureau of the Bono Region.
He said, this will help the council to widen their scope on reaching the masses on matters that need urgent attention for the region.
The municipal chief executive of Sunyani Municipal, Hon John Ansu Kumi, thanked the media firm for thinking about the activities of the assembly and promise to utilize on the opportunity given and make good use of the airtime.
The regional minister for Bono Region, Hon Justina Owusu Banahene, shared her excitement for such a gesture and asked that other media houses in the region emulate the benevolence of the newly established media conglomerate.
She further charged the media firm to exhibit high journalistic behavior devoid of false reportage.
“I am happy for this kind gesture, I hope this gesture will be emulated by other media houses, but as your name depicts, I expect nothing but high standard of your work, devoid of false publications, she said.
