The Internal elections for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are pending with much attention as candidates are vying for various positions in the party to steer its affairs.

The Treasury position has been one of the key portfolios that many think the heat is keenly contested. 

Aspirants are preaching the political gospel according to the policies and strategies.

On the Sompa Tv morning show with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on Tuesday, July 6, 2022, Dr. Charles Dwamena, an aspiring treasurer hopeful underscore the importance and involvement of the party faithful.

According to him, breaking the 8 will just be a mere talk without the grassroots. He explained that it is time the party takes care of the people on the grounds and offers them the needed assistance through which the party can break the 8.

According to him, he has outline some key policies that will elevate the plight of the grassroots when given the nod as the treasurer. 

The former deputy ambassador to China said, he has the requisite knowledge and experience to lead as the next treasurer for the New Patriotic Party having previously worked as the Director of Finance and Administration at the party's headquarters.

Earlier at the Kumasi Airport, the National Treasurer aspirant for the NPP engaged the Media in the region to detail his vision as to why he is competing for the treasury position. 

He explained that for the NPP to break the eight years mantra, it takes people who have the party at heart and has served the party with diligence and humility hence, Dr. China. 

"I have a business incubation fund, this fund will serve as capital funding for the grassroots, I have a welfare fund that will also cater for former executives, this and many other policies that will propel the people to vote so that we can break the 8, since they will be a living testimony for the party, he said.

He added that when elected as the National Treasurer, he will uplift the position by creating a fund to support all the party grassroots and those who could not win their respective positions.

Dr. China further urged the delegates to consider his second coming and vote for him for he has allotted many plans that will support their livelihood.
