A Pregnant woman and her two children have been burnt to death in a house fire at Ohwim in the Bantama Constituency of the Ashanti Region.

The incident happened in the late hours of yesterday, Monday, August 15, 2022 around 11 pm.

Sompa news reporter Kwame Wiredu, reporting for Ade Akye Abia morning show on sompa Tv, said, the fire started at late hours on Monday, August 15^th, 2022.

The woman together with her two kids believe to be around the ages of 7 and 9 burnt with their mother at a separate room in their 4 bedroom apartment at Ohwim, the only survivor is the house maid who got wind of the flames and fled.

According the reporter, her cry for help was interrupted by the burglar proof and security doors of the house.

When the fire service arrived at the place, the pregnant woman, 36, and her two boys, 9 and 7 have already burnt into ashes.

The charred bodies have been conveyed by the police and deposited at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) morgue for autopsy and preservation.

Investigation into the incident has begun as section of residents suspect foul play.
