Scores of mourners are left stranded in Tafo in the Tafo Municipality in the Ashanti Region as burial Rites of Seventeen (17) corpses Postponed.
According to a family member from Tafo Hemaa's Palace, Ante Agyeiwaa on media engagement on thursday, August 18, 2022, said, the Chief allegedly did not informed the various families about the decision taken by the traditional council to have mass burial for the over 17 royals who died some years back.
We were not given any notice about the development.
She said, the development has had a dime consequences financially and has brought disgraced as to royal family while leaving their invited guests stranded.
She is therefore calling on higher rulers to intervene into the matter.
In a development story, scores of people are angered by the decision to postpone the mass burial service as the decision has affected store owners, schools and halted activities in the Tafo Municipality today.
"Schools are being shut down today following directive from the Tafo Traditional Council over the funeral rites, stores closed and other normal activities halted today all because of the funeral directive" a native who spoke on anonymity hinted.
Meanwhile information gathered by Kaakyire Prince revealed that, every household within the Tafo enclave were asked to pay 100 cedis as donation to the mass burial, however, the money has been tampered with leaving scars in the minds of the people.
