The Founder and Leader of the United Progressive Party (UPP), Akwasi Addai ‘Odike’ says he owes the Manhyia Palace no apology indicating his readiness to face off with members of the Kumasi Traditional Council (KTC).
The politician says he remains unfazed after he was attacked by gun-wielding men Monday afternoon. He further indicated his readiness to face off with the KTC.
When asked why he had no regrets, Odike said: “People who are after my life, how can I apologize to them? They want to kill me so why should I go on my knees and beg them? That portion is past and gone. No reconciliation.
“The battle lines have been drawn. I have to take good care of myself and see how the Police will assist me in terms of security” he told sompaonline.com.
The circumstances surrounding Monday’s attack is currently being investigated by police in the Ashanti Region.
