Physically challenged Kwesi Tetteh Zodah has accused his ex-girlfriend for selling their baby for GHC5,000.
According to him, he met his now ex-girlfriend Patience Efe Mawutor in November 2021 and they lived together until she confirmed pregnancy for him same year.
Unfortunately, the lady’s father did not approve their relationship because of his disability.
According to Kwesi, he kept his responsibility throughout the pregnancy period and even though she stayed with the father, there are prove to back his claims of taken care of the pregnancy.
He said, from 1st August to August 9th his attempt to reach Efeh proved futile as she wasn’t answering his calls. However, when she answered on the 10th August 2022, she claimed she had put to bed at Greater Accra regional hospital but it was a stillbirth.
According to him, she initially alleged the nurses buried the baby which the nurses debunked the allegation of her giving birth there in the first place. She later said she gave birth at abokobi rather and her father buried him.
Kwesi out of frustration reported the case to the Dodowa office of the Domestic Violence and Victim support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service. This is where Efeh admitted to the investigators of selling the baby for GhC 5,000 to someone at Kasoa.
Efe and the baby buyer insisted he’s incapable to cater for the baby due to his disability, she also added he’s not the real father and that they should conduct a D.N.A test for prove.
But commenting on being fatherless to the baby, Kwesi did not trust the Dodowa police Unit as he believes there is something fishy, since they also questioned his ability to father a child, therefore, he wants an independent body, to take up the matter and investigate it before he will come to terms of agreement Pertaining the DNA paternity test.
However, effort to reach out the accused Patience Efe Mawutor proved bootless.
